How to purchase tickets

We offer a variety of ways for you to purchase tickets to make it as convenient as possible. Advance tickets may be purchased at designated locations in Elgin, IL, by mail or online.

For those interested in supporting the House Tour and GPA's continuing historic preservation efforts, multiple levels of participation available. Sponsorship details can be found here.

Join us in the beautiful Elgin Historic District on Saturday September 12, 2009 for a tour of some of the finest historic homes in Elgin!

Interested in volunteering? It takes many volunteers to make the GPA's annual Historic Elgin House Tour happen.

If you would like to help, please let us know! Most volunteers serve as docents. Docents are the people you see stationed about the houses, often to deliver a short, scripted presentation to the tour guests as they enter the docent's area. Volunteers who serve as docents typically work one of three shifts and in return receive complementary admission to the other houses on the tour. Some even recruit friends to be docents too!
