| This house, designed in the Prairie School Style, was built in 1903 for Postle as his residence. Postle was a partner with fellow architect Gilbert M. Turnbull in the 1890s. Their local designs included many of the workers flats found in the Elgin Historic Distrcit, which filled the need for rental housing during Elgin's 19th century industry boom. Postle's home on Liberty is an original duplex, with two separate living units. |
