Elgin Historic District Homes For Sale

The City of Elgin administers several attractive grant programs to encourage homeowners in the restoration of their historic homes. These include the Multi-Family Housing Conversion Program, which provides financial incentives for homeowners to convert their house from a multi-family home back to a single-family home, also the Restoration Grant Program, which is a $20,000 matching grant for certain historical restoration projects. The GPA also encourages restoration of historic homes through our Great Unveiling program, which rewards homeowners in Elgin each year for removing vinyl, asphalt, or aluminum siding.
